George Sant & Sons Greenhouses is a third-generation family business that has been in operation since 1947 and now runs 7 acres of covered greenhouses. Half of its business is devoted to selling young plants. It now sells 6 to 7 million liners and the production continues to increase. The other half of the business is dedicated to selling finished material to big chain stores and garden centers.
George Sant & Sons has been using Berger products for over 30 years and has always been very satisfied with their quality. “We’ve been able to produce top-quality products by using their mix” says Ron Sant. He adds that they have seen good results thanks to Berger’s growing media: “The results have enabled us to grow our business to what it is today.” Since they are using a Ellepot machine, they need a very consistent mix. “Berger has always been very consistent in their mix and it works very well” Ron Sant explains. “We have tried several mixes, but this is the one that works the best for us.” he adds.
George Sant & Sons is very happy with the relationship with Kevin, his sales representative. Kevin visits the greenhouse on a regular basis and is always available if they need anything special. Every time they needed to have the mix adjusted or modified, they were able to count on Berger for meeting their needs. “They’ve been great to work with and we’ve always ended up with the product that we needed.” says Ron Sant.
