The company began as a grower before expanding into distribution, including supplying Costco. Over the years, Frankarl has continued to grow by adding greenhouse production and expanding its operations across Canada and the United States.
Expanding to Meet Demand
Marie-France Houle, Vice President of Operations, joined Frankarl 13 years ago. Since then, the company has reached several major milestones, including the acquisition of greenhouse facilities in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, and Pennsylvania.
Today, Serres Frankarl supplies 107 Costco locations in the United States and 22 in Canada, in addition to serving customers throughout the eastern U.S. “This growth marks an important milestone for our company while reinforcing our commitment to quality and product consistency,” says Houle.
As the business expanded into new markets, having the right partners became increasingly important.
“Our growth has taken us into new markets, and Berger has been an important partner throughout that journey,” she explains. “Their team helped us with growing media trials and the adjustments needed for our expansion into the U.S. Their expertise and support made a real difference.”
