Grand Opening of the Berger Greenhouse

January 23, 2020

On January 23, 2020, Berger was visited by Marie-Eve Proulx, Minister for Regional Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Chaudière-Appalaches, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine regions, and Denis Tardif, Member of the National Assembly for the Rivière-du-Loup-Témiscouata region, for the grand opening of its new research building.

This new research greenhouse is part of a $23.5M overall investment project that started in 2018 and is aimed at sustaining Berger’s growth and development. Its goal is to grow Berger’s research and development capacity through a new test greenhouse and cutting-edge equipment, as well as to increase the plant’s production capacity, improve its management infrastructure and consolidate its distribution network.

The end of this project marks an important step towards strengthening the company’s values, because research and development play a leading role in terms of its commitments to its clients. Berger’s uniform, consistent and reliable growing media, along with its personalized service and technical expertise, make the company a leader in the professional greenhouse industry.
