How Horticulture Turned a High School into a High-Value School
Cabano’s high school has carried out a revolutionary school horticultural project. Created and maintained entirely by students, the two greenhouses and outdoor garden total over 1,300 square feet of growing space and produced almost six tons of vegetables in 2017. This abundant harvest has found many uses, from providing afternoon snacks to the school’s 400 students, to feeding families in the need and supplying community kitchens. Berger is proud to be part of this inspiring success by supplying all the growing media for the last four years and for years to come.

On last Friday, August 18th, Berger was very proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Bay du Vin in New-Brunswick.
Berger acquires Tourbière H. Théberge
Berger is proud to announce the acquisition of Tourbière Henri Théberge & Associés Inc., a peat producer near Berger’s harvesting site in Saint-Modeste, Québec. This alliance will take effect on May 31st. This is Berger’s second acquisition in 2017.

Last February 22nd, Berger and Specialties Robert Legault hosted their 24th annual Grower Appreciation Night. More than 120 growers attended the event hosted at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in St. Catharines.
